The Iberchip 2016 Organizing Committee invites proposals for half-day tutorials to be conducted on February 28, 2016, the first day of Iberchip 2016, held at Florianopolis, Brazil.
Tutorials are an integral function of Iberchip where instructors have the opportunity to share their expertise on a specific field/research with fellow researchers and those who wish to discover said field/research. We are soliciting proposals for topics of academic and industrial/application(s) interests. These topics may be established or it may be emerging - and with profound and/or new insights thereto, that is best articulated by means of an oral presentation. Most importantly, tutorials should be interesting with lively interaction with the attendees.
Proposals, prepared in a one-column PDF file, should include the following information:
- Title of the tutorial
- Area of the tutorial (refer to the list above)
- 300 Word Abstract (for inclusion in registration materials)
- Keywords
- Instructor(s) and their credentials (2-page CV for each instructor)
- Previous offerings of tutorials, if any
- Learning objectives
- Target audience and prerequisite knowledge of audience
- Full description (1-2 pages to be used for evaluation)
Important Dates:
Tutorial proposals due: 24 October 2015 31 October 2015.
Notification of acceptance: December 5, 2015
Complete Set of Tutorial Slides: December 21, 2015

The XXII Iberchip Workshop (IWS) 2016 technical program will include Special Sessions. Their objective is to complement the regular program with new or emerging topics of particular interest to the circuits and systems community that may also cut across and beyond disciplines traditionally represented at IWS. Each session comprises 5 oral presentations of 15 minutes each (plus 5 minutes of questions). The first paper in a Special Session may serve as an introduction to the field, aimed at outsiders.
Prospective organizers of Special Sessions Proposals should submit the following including:
- Title of the session.
- Rationale of the need for the Special Session at IWS. The rationale should stress the novelty of the topic and its multidisciplinary flavor (if any).
- Short biography of the organizers.
- List of at least four (4), or at most five (5), contributed papers (including titles, authors, contact information of the corresponding author, and a short abstract of each contribution). Organizers should not contribute more than two papers.
